A breath of fresh air

Well we did it, I don't know why it took so long, I guess it was all part of God's plan, His hand was in it after all:):) We found a church, and we feel connected. After one visit many of you might ask? Yes, as crazy as that may sound, this is a smaller church so we didn't feel overwhelmed. They actually have small groups that meet once a week. The people are great, the worship is great. We don't feel so lost. After the service there was a barbecue, which we headed over too, even Tony although he had to go work today, still took the time to come over!!!:):) This gave us a chance to connect with some people and meet mainly the church! So we are very relieved. I was starting to worry, the prior church just was not where we supposed to be. I honestly believe God led us here. I don't know why it took so long to get us here, but His ways are not our ways, right? But honestly, the way that I have been feeling lately, disconnected, not really feeling right about my life, this helped so much today, so thank you God for a breath of fresh air. Thank you for leading us to Skyline..............................

Our lives are quite full right now. Tony only has three more weeks of 2nd shift and then he is back to days, thank you Jesus!!! I really mean that from the bottom of my heart, it has been a struggle for me especially. We didn't see him much, but bless his heart he loves his family and will do anything to provide for us. I am married to a very compassionate and thoughtful man.
The kids are all doing well in school. Both of the girls made the honor roll this last grade period. For those of you that don't know we had homeschooled and just put all the kids in public school in January. It has been quite an adjustment, mainly for mom. Losing a sense of purpose primarily. But the kids have adjusted great!!! Grayson is even in preschool!!! Half a day, so this still is good for me!!!!
Next year will be different, all of them in school. But God will direct and guide me I know this deep down in my heart! I am excited to say that I am 1st Vice president of the PTO this coming fall! WoooHooo!!! We will see how that goes.
Looking forward to the summer though. Only five more weeks of school. Field trips coming up for all, t-ball for the boys has begun. It is something when your cuddlesac is full of neighbors wanting to play baseball in the street, ages 3-10, quite a sight!!! I was even the pitcher, apparently not such a great one, according to Bo, my 6 year old. Let's just say I am not gifted in that area!!!!
We are trying a new church tomorrow, pray for us that God would lead us where we are to go, because I think we got lost somewhere. Where we are is great, but we are realizing that this is not feeding us. We need something that is going to pull us in, not just the kids, because this has been an uphill battle since we got here.
It is amazing to me at how fast time goes by. Just this evening I received an invite on Facebook from a friend that was two years younger than me, from our highschool. I was immediately thrown back into time of our time spent together. The "good ol" highschool years. As I looked at her pics, I am just floored at how fast we all grow up and change. For those of you with little ones, enjoy the time you have, because soon they will become preteens and you wonder where the time went. I used to think people were crazy when they told me this!!! But really time is precious, kiss them as much as you can, listen and be as patient as you can, try not to "lose it" easier said then done. Soon you will be empty nesters, enjoy them, I am speaking to myself as well.
So this is my first official post, inspired by friends with blogs. It really is a freeing thing to do this:) Have a great night!!!

New things

It's always good to try new things, right??? So here I am. Not promising anything too exciting. But fellow graduates of mine have inspired me to try it out!!! Why not. So sit back and relax and pray that I can do this well:):):)
